With the 49-euro ticket, which will become a 58-euro ticket from 2025, you can travel by bus and train throughout Germany, but Flixbus and Co. are not included.
What the 49-euro ticket (58-euro ticket) is valid for: Flixbus is not included
The 49-euro ticket works like a monthly ticket valid throughout Germany. From January 2025, the Germany ticket will cost a little more and will become a 58-euro ticket. However, not all bus and train providers are included in the tariff.
- The 58-euro ticket is valid for local and regional buses and trains. This means that you can use regional trains, trams, buses, S-Bahn and U-Bahn with the monthly ticket.
- However, long-distance travel is excluded from the promotion. Therefore, long-distance bus providers such as Flixbus or Flixtrain are not included in the 58-euro ticket.
- Long-distance trains such as the ICE and IC are also not included in the 58-euro ticket. In addition, you cannot use the Germany ticket for the ferries to the North Sea islands of Schleswig-Holstein.
- If in doubt, contact your transport association and ask whether the 58-euro ticket is valid.
- If you want to buy the Deutschland Ticket, you can only do so digitally. You can use the DB Navigator app and there is also the Deutschlandticket app from Hansecom Public Transport Ticketing Solutions and Dein Deutschlandticket from Mobility Inside.
