Only when you have collected enough Charmander candies in Pokemon GO can you evolve Charmander.
Pokemon GO: Get Charmander Candy
If you want to evolve Charmander in the game Pokemon GO, you will need Charmander candies. You can get these in various ways.
- Unlike the classic Pokemon games, in Pokemon GO you can catch all three starter Pokemon. It is also possible to catch Charmander, Squirtle and Bulbasaur multiple times.
- To evolve a Pokemon like Charmander, you need the corresponding candies, just like with all other Pokemon. For Charmander, you obviously need enough Charmander candies.
- For each Charmander you catch, you receive three Charmander candies. If you send a caught Charmander to the professor, you receive another candy.
- Charmanders hatch from eggs. Like all other starter Pokemon, Charmander will hatch from a 2 km egg if you're lucky. But there are also significantly more Charmander candies.
Get Gluamanda candies via the buddy system
If you use the buddy system in Pokemon GO and use a Pokemon as your companion that follows you everywhere you go, you will also receive candies.
- To do this, tap the Pokeball at the bottom and select the “Pokemon” category in the menu. If you choose the pocket monster you want, you can then use it as a companion.
- Depending on the Pokemon, it takes one, three or five kilometers until you get a candy. Charmander is one of the Pokemon that only finds a candy after 3 kilometers.
Pokemon GO: Collect Charmander candies faster
To evolve a Charmander into a Charmeleon, you need 25 Charmander candies. To evolve into a Charizard, you need another 100 candies. With these tricks, you can collect candies faster.
- Actively search for Charmanders to catch as many of the Pokemon as possible and collect the corresponding candies.
- Pineapple berries help you get more candies in Pokemon GO. You can find them at the PokeStop and use them in your catch attempt.
