If you no longer need your BahnCard, you can cancel it quickly and easily online. You can do this in your customer account.
Cancel your Bahncard online: How to proceed
If you do not cancel your Bahncard six weeks before it expires, the subscription will automatically be extended for another year. The easiest way to cancel is online:
- Open the Bahncard service website.
- Select “Cancelling your Bahncard“. Choose the correct Bahncard, as you will be given the option between Bahncard 25 and Bahncard 50.
- You can keep the message short or simply following text accept: “Dear Sir or Madam, I hereby cancel my BahnCard with the customer number (number) in due time. Please send me a written confirmation of the cancellation. Kind regards”
- Then enter your Contact detailsyour BahnCard number and your E-Mail-Address and send the cancellation.
- You will receive a confirmation email in the next few days that your BahnCard has been cancelled.
Cancel subscription via customer account
Another easy way to cancel your Bahncard is through your customer account. To do this, log in to your DB account.
- Then go to “BahnCard > Options”. Here you can see whether you can cancel your Bahncard and information about your subscription.
- If it is possible to cancel your account, confirm the cancellation by clicking on “Cancel BahnCard”. If this is not possible, you have missed the deadline for cancellation. If necessary, contact Deutsche Bahn customer service.
- You will then receive a cancellation confirmation via the email address you have stored in your account.
