Playstation 5 Pro: What is known about the release
Since the PlayStation 5 went on sale in November 2020, there have been many rumors about a Pro version of the console. After all, every generation so far has been given a more powerful version. Now the Japanese company has finally given precise details:
- The PlayStation 5 Pro will be released on 7. November 2024 appear.
- This means it is a little later than its predecessor. The Playstation 4 Pro was released three years after the Playstation 4 was released.
- The PlayStation 5 Pro is Sony’s most expensive console to date: It beats 799 € to book.
- The console is completely digital and does not come with a Blu-ray drive. This can, however, be purchased separately and costs €119.99. As with the PS5 Slim, it is simply connected to the console. For a PS5 Pro including the drive, fans pay a total of around 820 € for the release.
- Of course, the new console also features brand new technology, which means that the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro differ in some ways. Sony particularly emphasizes a stable frame rate of 60 FPS in quality mode.
