Upload pictures to Facebook

You can make your profile more interesting if you regularly upload pictures to Facebook. The process itself is simple and can be done at any time.

Upload and post pictures on Facebook

On Facebook, you can not only create posts or send messages, you can also upload individual images or even entire photo albums. The quickest way to publish your posts and images is via the homepage.

  • First, log in to the social media platform Facebook with your account. Then, on the homepage, in the upper area under “Status,” select the “Photo/Video” button.
  • Another small window will now open. You can add to your status or add it in the middle of the “Photos/Videos” button. An additional window will open with your own files that you can upload from your computer.
  • Decide which of the images you want to post to your computer. Double-click your selection or alternatively select “Open”.
  • If necessary, you can edit the images or leave a comment. You can also add different emojis or a location. Finally, click on the “Post” button.
  • Always be careful about what images you upload. The more interesting your content is on Facebook, the more interactions you will get.

Change profile picture and cover photo in Facebook

Since Facebook introduced the timeline view for profiles, you can add a so-called cover photo in addition to your profile picture. Once you have created a profile picture, use it to complete your profile. Of course, you can correct your picture selection at any time and add more snapshots.

  • On the Facebook homepage, click on your name in the top right corner. This will take you directly to your profile.
  • To change your profile picture, point your computer mouse at your profile picture. There you will also find the “Edit profile picture” button. Clicking this will open another window.
  • Now you can either select an image that has already been uploaded to Facebook, take a new photo, or upload a file from your computer. You can also move the thumbnail. This changes the square section of the photo that is displayed on your profile.
  • To change your cover photo, move your PC mouse over the area behind or above your profile picture. Then repeat the same steps as you did with your profile picture to personalize your page.
