Set up Kabel Deutschland Email on Android

To set up a Kabel Deutschland email on an Android device, you need the correct server data and the appropriate settings.

Prepare Kabel Deutschland email account on Android

Before you start setting up, make sure you have your Kabel Deutschland email login details ready.

You need your full email address and the corresponding password. This data is necessary to establish the connection between your Android device and the Kabel Deutschland server.
Once you have the login details, open your mobile phone's email application. Most of the time this is the pre-installed Mail app, but you can also use alternative mail apps such as Gmail or Outlook.

To use IMAP, enter “imap.kabelmail.de” as the server. The port for the IMAP server is 993 and the encryption must be set to SSL.
If you prefer POP3, use “pop3.kabelmail.de” with port 995 and also SSL encryption. Then enter your full email address as the user name, followed by the password. Choose a secure password. Password managers generate random passwords that are difficult to crack.
Make sure that all data is entered correctly to avoid connection errors.

After the incoming mail server is set up, the settings for the outgoing mail server follow.

This server is responsible for sending emails to your friends and acquaintances. Enter “smtp.kabelmail.de” as the server and make sure that the port is set to 587.
Also enable TLS encryption to ensure a secure connection when sending your emails. Again, you will be asked for your username and password, which are the same as those of the incoming mail server.
