A tabular CV can be created quickly and easily using a template. However, in order for the plan to work, your PC must be connected to the Internet, otherwise you will not be able to download the desired templates.
- In your open Word document, go to the “File” menu button. Then click on “New” in the left-hand bar. This will open all the templates that your Word program has to offer.
- The easiest way to see all available CV templates is to enter the keyword “CV” or “Résumé” in the search bar at the top. You will immediately receive all Office.com templates that are suitable for your tabular CV. On the right-hand side of the screen you will also find an enlarged preview image for each selected template.
- Once you have found a suitable template, you can download the sample using the “Create” button. You can then adapt your CV to your needs.
Using offline templates in Word – what you need to know
If your computer is in offline mode, you can still use the Word templates you have created. However, you should follow a few tips to ensure that you can still create or change your tabular CV without any problems.
- From the “File” tab, click the “New” button. Open a new document that you want to fill with your resume.
- In the top row you will find the “Templates” folder. Open this. You now have the choice and can select between various CV templates or a standard CV as a template.
- After making your selection, you can add to or update your CV. Although the selection is limited in offline mode, you can edit your tabular CV if you wish.
- Finally, save your CV or print it out on high-quality paper. In your application documents, a detailed CV in tabular form provides a good overview of your life path.
