If you want to tow vehicles in GTA 5, you can do so right from the start of the game. All you need is a tow truck.
Towing vehicles in GTA 5: A tow truck is needed
Theoretically, you can directly after the tutorial Start towing vehicles in GTA 5. All you need is a tow truck, which you can get in different ways.
- You will probably find the first tow truck in Los Santos. If you follow the story, after just a few small missions you will become a Towing mission come.
- This starts by talking to Franklin, the drug addict Tonya across from Franklin's house. Tonya will then direct you to the truck and you will have to tow a vehicle for the mission.
- You can then theoretically steal the truck and continue to useuntil you are knocked out or the tow truck is destroyed. If you complete all of Tonya's missions instead, you can purchase the tow yard as Franklin for $150,000.
- From this point on, the tow truck is available to you permanently and you can even earn money with it. But there are even more vehicles and locations that reward you with a tow truck.
- You can find both the smaller and larger tow trucks all over the game world. These include locations such as the Maze Bank Arena in Los Santos, the Los Santos Customs at the International Airport or at Ortega's caravan.
- Notice: In GTA Online, you can only tow vehicles in individual missions. It is not possible to tow other players' or NPCs' cars outside of a mission.
GTA 5: How to tow vehicles properly
Once you have “stolen” a tow truck, you can use it to tow subsequent vehicles in GTA 5towing. This works as follows:
- Get in the car. Then stand in front of the desired vehiclePreferably it is parked, but towing is possible even while driving.
- The catch docks automatically. With the right analog stick (Controller) or the leftShift-Taste (keyboard) lift the car to tow it.
- Exciting If the rope is loose, you can be sure that the vehicle is ready to be towed. If you want to put it down again, press the analog stick down again or the left Ctrl keyif you play with a mouse and keyboard.
