Add Payback points online - is that possible?

If you forget your Payback card while shopping, you can simply top up your points, but this is not possible online.

Earning Payback points online – it doesn't work

You can collect Payback points both online and offline. However, you can only add points to your account offline.

  • You cannot add points to offline or online purchases online. In order for the points to be recorded for online purchases, you do not have to access the respective online shop directly, but rather via the Payback website.
  • Theoretically, however, you can take advantage of Payback's goodwill when making online purchases. You can claim that the purchase was not recorded by submitting a post-booking request. Payback will then check whether the purchase was actually made from the partner, and if so, the points will be credited to you retroactively as a goodwill gesture.
  • Tip for even more points: With the Payback apps for iPhone and Android, you can activate a bonus coupon in time at the checkout.

Add Payback points on site in the store

You can add Payback points to your account for a purchase on site for a few days. Payback does not reveal exactly how long the period is. You can add points to your account at the service terminals, via the service center and, depending on the goodwill, at the partner checkouts.

  1. First, go to the service terminal in the store.
  2. Select the item “repoint” in the menu.
  3. Log in with your login details.
  4. Then scan the saved receipt.
  5. The points will be credited to you within a few days.
  6. However, it is only possible to post a limited number of receipts. Payback does not provide any information about the number.
  7. Some partners allow you to collect points at the checkout on the same day you make your purchase. You will also need the receipt for this. Ask a partner institution.
  8. If the points credit did not work for technical reasons, you can contact the Service Center using the contact form. In some cases, the points can be credited retroactively.
