If you have booked Magenta TV but the error message “Playback not possible” appears, the following solutions will help:

  • First, try resetting your Telekom media receiver to the factory settings. To do this, switch it off, wait a few seconds and then press the power button again. The word “Load” will now appear on the display. Now switch the receiver off again.
  • You must repeat this process three times until the display shows “Downloading”. The reset will now start automatically. Be sure to leave your receiver switched on until the process is complete.
  • In addition, the receiver automatically checks whether new updates are available and downloads them. Once this process is complete, you can change your user settings again.
  • You should also make sure that the connection between your WLAN and your receiver is working properly.
  • It can also help to remove the PowerLAN adapter from the socket, as this sometimes interferes with the connection. To check this, connect the TV Box directly to your WiFi. Now test whether you can play Magenta TV.
