The “Open the Door” quest in Palia consists of several steps that you must complete one after the other. This will give you access to the library.
Solution to the quest “Open the Door” in Palia
To unlock the “Open the Door” quest, you must reach friendship level 3 with Jina. Once this is done, you will receive a letter from her which will automatically start the quest. You then have to solve three puzzles, which may require a little patience:
- After you receive the letter, the first riddle begins with the words: “There is a house. You enter it knowing everything and leaving it unaware.” The correct answer to this is “school” because it metaphorically represents learning.
- After this answer, you have to wait for a while until Jina gives you the next clue. The second puzzle takes you to a place where a scholar can quench his thirst for knowledge. This place is the central statue in Kilima, which turns out to be a fountain.
- If you examine the statue, you will discover an inscription that tells you that you must find a stone that represents the Sands of Time. This must be inserted into the handle of the key.
- The final puzzle tasks you with finding a pearl considered the “Stone of the Sands of Time.” These pearls can be found by opening oysters on the beaches of Bahari Bay. Since the pearl is not guaranteed to appear, this may take a few tries.
This is how the quest ends
After you have successfully solved all three puzzles, Palia's quest is coming to an end:
- Return to Jina. She explains that behind the door is an ancient library that can be opened with the now completed key. You will now have access to the ruins and can explore the library.
- With the completion of the quest, some valuable rewards also await you. The most important reward is Jina's Key, which grants you access to the ruins and the ancient library. You will also improve your relationship with Jina, which can be beneficial in future interactions.
- In addition, you will receive 25 Renown, which increases your reputation within the game world, and 25Spice sprouts that serve as a useful resource, for example for cooking or craft projects.
- There is no need to save the score; this happens automatically.
