- E-sports are currently only recognized as a sport in a few countries such as the USA, France, China and a few others. In Germany, e-sports are not considered a separate sport.
- However, the first Olympic Games in e-sports are scheduled to be held in 2025. These are supposed to take place in Saudi Arabia.
