Deleting multiple contacts on an iPhone at once is not that easy. However, with the help of some tools it is possible.
iPhone: How to delete multiple contacts at once
If you have an iPhone with the iOS 17 operating system, you can easily delete several contacts on the smartphone at the same time. All it takes is a few clicks.
- First, open the Contacts app on your iPhone. Next, place two fingers on the contact you want to delete.
- Now drag your fingers up or down. Here's how to select the contacts you want to delete too. If the contacts are grayed out, they are selected for deletion.
- Now take your fingers off the touch display. Select one of the contacts with a gray background and hold it down with one finger.
- You will now be presented with various options in a pop-up menu. Select the “Delete x Contacts” option. Confirm your selection, delete all selected contacts.
More tools for deleting contacts
If you have an iPhone with an older operating system, you can only delete multiple contacts at the same time using various apps. Unfortunately, the iTunes Store currently only offers purchased apps that allow you to remove several contacts from the iPhone in one fell swoop.
- You can delete multiple contacts at once using the Groups app. Search for the app in the App Store and install the app on your iPhone as usual.
- Then open the app and confirm the app's access to all contacts on your iPhone. Then tap “All Contacts” to view all contacts on the smartphone.
- Now mark the contacts you want to delete. To do this, tap the contacts and mark them with a red checkmark.
- Now select the “Choose Action” option. Next, tap “Delete Contacts” to perform the action. Select “Confirm”, delete the marked contacts from your iPhone.
