Pokemon Go game guide: step by step to becoming a Pokemaster

Pokémon GO: Find items - how to get all

If you are new to Pokémon Go, you will be able to get started right from the beginning with the right game instructions.

Starting the game in Pokémon Go – How to start your career as a Poké Master

Your career as a Poké Master begins quite unspectacularly in Pokémon Go: After starting the app, you first choose a user name and create a trainer. However, this has no effect on the later course of the game.

  • You will then be given the choice between three starter Pokémon, one of which you must catch.
  • Tap one of the Pokémon. It doesn't matter which one you choose, all three Pokémon are equally strong. They only differ in their element class: the turtle Squirtle represents water, the walking bud Bulbasaur is a grass Pokémon and the mini dragon Charmander represents fire.
  • Tipp: Thanks to an Easter Egg, you can catch Pikachu right at the beginning as a starter Pokémon.

Interesting Orte in Pokémon Go

In Pokémon Go, the real world becomes a playground on your smartphone. You should pay particular attention to three important symbols on the map.

  • Pokéstops: You can get free items here. If you see one of the blue Pokéstops in your area, tap it and rotate the icon. You will then receive 3 items. These include Pokéballs or eggs, for example.
  • Arenas: You can battle with your Pokémon in arenas. When you tap on an arena for the first time, you have to choose between Team Blue, Red, or Yellow. Choose the same team as your friends to be able to battle together. However, you can only battle in an arena once you have reached level 5.
  • Pokémon: As you move, new Pokémon will periodically appear in the game. Tap on them and flick a Poké Ball from below at the Pokémon to catch it.

Pokémon Go: Pokémon fangen

A major part of the game is catching Pokémon. But not every Pokémon is found everywhere.

  • Consider what type of Pokémon you want to catch. Water-type Pokémon are found near water, while Grass- and Bug-type Pokémon are more likely to be found in forests and parks.
  • When you catch a Pokémon, you get XP and candy. Candy is important for evolving Pokémon.
  • If you release a Pokémon after catching it, you will receive some extra XP.
  • Don't use Master Poké Balls at the beginning. They are far too valuable, you should save them for rare and legendary Pokémon.
  • Don't catch every Pokémon, just your favorite Pokémon that you can fight with. This approach is particularly worthwhile when Pokéballs are in short supply. But you should definitely catch a rare Pokémon, as you can trade it well.
  • To catch a Pokémon, you must first touch and hold the Poké Ball. The color of the target ring around the Pokémon tells you whether the Pokémon is easy or difficult to catch. You have the best chance of catching the Pokémon when the target ring has the smallest diameter. Then throw the ball at the Pokémon. With a trick, you can also throw a curve ball.
