Activate HD+ card: here's how

If you would like to use or extend your HD+ card, you must activate the card for the respective promotion.

Activate HD+ card for the first time

Activating the HD+ card for the first time is quick and easy. You will need the HD+ app to activate it.

  • Simply insert the card into the designated CI slot on the receiving device (TV).
  • Make sure that the gold chip is facing upwards. Otherwise the card cannot be read by the hardware.
  • If you switch on the receiver, the rest happens automatically. You can now receive TV channels in HD.

Activate HD+ card extension

After 12 months, the HD+ card expires and must be renewed. Otherwise, it will no longer be possible to receive channels in HD. 14 days before the card expires, you will be notified by a message on the television. So that you do not have to buy a new card, you can extend your HD+ card for 6 euros a month or 75 euros a year.

  1. Remove the HD+ card from your receiver and note down the 12-digit HD+ card number. You will find this below the barcode. Then insert the card back into the receiver.
  2. You can enter the card number in the webshop and pay for the extension.
  3. Alternatively, you can call customer service on 089-90409797 and pay for the extension over the phone. You can also find HD+ cards online and in local stores.
  4. After just a few minutes, your card will be extended for 12 months and notifications will no longer appear on your TV.
