Circle to Search: This is how Google's intelligent search works

Use Circle of Search if you want to quickly circle and cut out highlights on images or parts of text on your Android phone.

Circle to Search via Google – this is how you use the functions specifically

Do you see a dress, a sight or a device in a picture that really interests you? So far you have probably taken a screenshot to save your find. However, with the new Google feature you can directly circle the part of the image or text, cut it out and then google it. This gives you direct information on where to find the product or how much it costs. This is actually very easy.

  • First, enable Circle to Search. This is possible by holding down the navigation button on your smartphone for a few seconds. If you are using the three-button control, briefly press and hold the home button.
  • A new feature will appear on your screen with a small preview. Then press the “Close” button to exit the application or “Continue” to use the tool.
  • When you click “Next,” your phone screen will initially turn a slight blue color. The Google search bar and the translate button will appear at the bottom of your screen.
  • You can now use your finger to circle and cut out the desired section directly on your screen. You insert this image into Google's image search and let the search engine search for it. You will then receive results with appropriate information or offers.
  • You can also have certain foreign words identified. When you select the Translate button, the system responds immediately and displays the content of the screen in the language you require.

Search for words or text formulations – this is how it works

However, you can't just serve images and photos with Circle of Search. Sometimes it can also make sense to google a technical term or a foreign word quickly and easily. You don't have to put in a lot of effort for this. With the Google program you will receive a meaningful formulation within a few moments.

  • Simply take a photo of the word in a text or on a product you want to google. Then press the home button and circle the desired part of your text using Circle of Search.
  • Immediately afterwards, Google opens and provides you with various suggestions. You will receive definitions directly or creative YouTube videos that you can watch. This gives you all the information you need to know about the word.
  • If you circle several words, Google will also filter these connections. You will then receive all the information you need in the search engine.
