Cracking passwords - the best tools

Whether it's for your DSL router or your email account – if you've forgotten your password, it can often be cracked with the right software.

If you have forgotten the WLAN password for your DSL router, take a look at the router. The access data is printed on the back.

If you have changed your password, the only option is usually to reset the router. Thanks to WirelessKeyView, you can save yourself this work.
Download the program and start it. The network will be recognized automatically and the password will be displayed in the list.
Important: However, the tool only works if you have already connected your device to the relevant Wi-Fi network.

Download and install PasswdFinder and open it. A scan will then start automatically. After a short time, all available passwords will be displayed.
However, the tool can no longer crack the latest standards for many programs such as Internet Explorer. Only versions up to IE 9 can read passwords in the Microsoft browser.

With Advanced Archive Password Recovery you can crack passwords from ZIP, RAR, ARJ or ACE archives.
The program uses the brute force method to do this. This means that all possible character combinations are systematically tried out.
This method is extremely useful for short passwords and is usually very effective. However, if the password is longer and contains many letters, numbers and special characters, it can take a very long time to decrypt the password.
Since you are only allowed to crack your own archives, you can limit the type of password (see image). This gives you the option to exclude passwords with numbers or special characters if you never or rarely use them in passwords.
