Developing Cosmog: How it works

Developing Cosmog: How it works

In order for Cosmog to evolve, you need to get it to a certain level. Then you'll get a powerful Pokémon for your team.

Pokémon: How Cosmog can evolve

You can get Cosmog in Pokémon Sword & Shield: The Crown Tundra. You will meet it in Freezedale Village after a certain quest line. In order for it to evolve, you must follow these steps:

  • Once Cosmog reaches level 43, it will automatically evolve into Cosmovum.
  • The subsequent evolution of Cosmovum into Solgaleo or Lunala in the main series Pokémon games is traditionally dependent on the time of day. Solgaleo evolves during the day (between 6:00 and 17:59) and Lunala evolves at night (between 18:00 and 5:59).
  • In “Pokémon Sword & Shield” However, the evolution works a little differently. This means that in Pokémon Sword, Cosmovum always evolves into Solgaleo, regardless of the time of day, and in Pokémon Shield, it always evolves into Lunala as soon as it reaches level 53.
  • At Pokémon GO you need 25 Cosmog Candy to evolve it. Then open the Pokémon menu, select your Cosmog and click the “Evolve” button. After evolving it into Cosmovum, you can evolve it into either Solgaleo or Lunala. This evolution requires 100 Cosmog Candy.

More tips for developing Cosmog

By leveling up with XP candies and special candies, you can significantly speed up Cosmog's development process, so that it quickly becomes Cosmovum and then Solgaleo or Lunala:

  • In Pokémon Sword and Shield, you can use XP candies to quickly get Cosmog to the required level 43 to evolve into Cosmovum. You can get the XP candies through various activities such as raids.
  • Rare Candy is a valuable resource because it instantly increases a Pokémon's level by one. These can be especially useful if your Cosmog or Cosmovum is close to leveling up, but you don't have the time or XP Candy to get to the level you need.
  • In certain special events or through exchange, other development options or the direct receipt of the final forms may also be possible.
