The Golden Potato in Dreamlight Valley is just the beginning of a long series of exchanges, at the end of which you will receive the Golden Shimmering Potion.
Dreamlight Valley: From the golden potato to the shimmering gold potion
The Golden Potato is only the first step in Dreamlight Valley. To get the Golden Shimmering Potion, you have to make several trades:
- Receive Golden Potato: Either get the Golden Potato with the code “GPOT-OATO-LDFS-ENNM” or go to Scrooge's shop. Interact with the large wall safe on the lower floor to get the Golden Potato.
- Get Golden Carrot: Go into the Mysterious Cave at the Shimmering Beach. Go down two floors and place your Golden Potato on the stone altar to receive the Golden Carrot.
- Get Golden Crab: Go to the Forest of Valor and then to Elsa's Ice Cave. There you will find an icy table with a small black base on it. If you put the Golden Carrot on it, you will receive the Golden Crab.
- Obtain Golden Nightthorn: Go into the Dream Castle and take the stairs on the right until you reach the Golden Statue. To the left of the stairs on the banister is a pedestal on which you can place the Golden Crab. In return you will receive the Golden Nightthorn.
- Obtaining Gold Shimmering Potion: Go to Merlin's house. On the right side of the room you will find a table with another small black pedestal on it. If you put the Golden Nightthorn on it, you will get the Golden Shimmering Potion in Dreamlight Valley.
