If you have taken out a subscription for the Deutschland-Ticket, the order confirmation does not yet constitute a valid ticket.
Deutschlandticket: Order confirmation is no longer valid as a ticket
The 49-euro ticket from Deutsche Bahn, which will become more expensive from January 2025 and thus become a 58-euro ticket, allows unlimited travel on participating German local transport routes with a monthly subscription. At the launch of the Germany Ticket, the order confirmation was also temporarily considered a ticket – this has now changed.
- After purchasing the Germany ticket online, you will receive an order confirmation to the email address you provided. However, this is no longer considered a valid ticket, as this special regulation was only intended to facilitate the introduction of the 49-euro ticket.
- If you are checked while travelling by train, you must now show your Germany ticket and a photo ID.
