If Hay Day is not compatible with your smartphone, this doesn't necessarily have to stop you from playing. There are several ways to solve the problem.
Hay Day not compatible: How to play anyway
If Hay Day doesn't start on your smartphone, the first thing you should do is check the system requirements.
- Hay Day does not place too high demands on your device. Hay Day is only not compatible with the operating system on very old smartphones. On the iPhone you need at least iOS 12.0, on Android version 5.0 or newer is necessary.
- If your smartphone or tablet is running a lower version of the operating system, you can try updating it. This is very easy to do on the iPhone and Android, but there are often no more updates for older models.
- If you use Android, you can also install a custom ROM with a suitable version. However, this is only recommended for advanced users.
- However, the installation error may just be a mistake. In this case, download the Hay Day APK and install the app manually. Make sure to download the file from a trusted source such as APK Mirror, otherwise it may contain malicious code.
What you can also do if Hay Day is not running
If the manual installation fails because your smartphone is actually too old, you will have to switch to a new smartphone or tablet. You may even already own one.
- Hay Day also runs on the iPad and Android tablets. On the iPad you need iPadOS 12.0, on an Android tablet you need Android 5.0.
- Alternatively, you can play Hay Day on PC. Although there is no native PC version of the game, it runs on free Android emulators, bringing the farm simulation to your desktop computer, laptop and Windows tablet.
