How to add your website to Google

If your website is not found in Google searches, you can have the homepage added to the Google index. This can be done in just a few steps.

Index your own website on Google – this is how it works

As a rule, Internet users find websites via search engines. For example, if you run a business, it is important that you can be found on Google using your own website. You can add a website to Google in just a few steps.

  1. First create a Google account. If you don't have a Google account, you won't be able to post a website on Google. So set up an account and log in.
  2. Then log in to Google Search Console. You can easily register your website there. To do this, go to the website in your Internet browser and click on “Add Property”.
  3. In the next step, enter the full URL of your website in the field provided. Then click on the “Add” option.
  4. The website is now logged into Google Search Console. In a second step, Google checks the website in an internal process and then indexes it.
