You can install apps from the respective store on your Smart TV. The procedure is similar for different manufacturers.
Install Smart TV apps on Philips, Panasonic, Sharp and LG
To install apps on your Smart TV, it needs an active internet connection. Most models can establish this via WiFi.
- Depending on the type of app, you will need an internet connection not only to install it, but also to use it. Most games only run offline.
- Go to the app area of your TV. You can access it using these buttons on the remote control on the following models:
- Philips: “Smart” or “Smart Hub”. If you don't have the corresponding button on your Philips remote control, you can also access Smart TV apps via the menu. To do this, click on the house icon on your remote control and select “Browse Net TV”.
- Sharp and LG: “Home”
- Panasonic: “Viera Cast”
- You will now see numerous apps that you can download as you wish.

Install Samsung Smart TV apps
Turn on your Samsung TV and click on the Smart Hub icon, which is the colorful button in the shape of a three-dimensional cube in the center of the remote control.
- Use the arrow keys to click left and right through the individual categories until you reach “My TV Apps”.
- Here you can either go directly to the “Samsung Apps” or you have to select them from the installed apps.
- You will now see a list of all the apps that are already installed on your TV. Use the arrow buttons on your remote control to explore the individual categories at the bottom or search for apps directly at the top.
- Click the right arrow button to go to the desired category. There you can select an app by pressing the Enter key between the arrow buttons.
- You will now see a description of the app and can download and install it by pressing “Enter” again. Once the process is complete, the button will no longer say “Download” but “Run”.
- Newly downloaded apps are also located in the app overview in the Smart Hub.
