Loading the Deutschlandticket into the DB app brings more travel comfort and peace of mind. It only takes a few steps, but this option is not always available.
Get the Germany ticket in the DB app: step by step
The prerequisite for using the digital ticket in the DB app is that you have purchased it through Deutsche Bahn. In the DB Navigator app you can purchase tickets, get information about transport connections and view purchased tickets.
- If you haven't already done so, download the DB app (Android | iOS) free of charge and create a user account. Then you can view your purchased tickets or add new tickets via “Travel” below.
- Add a new ticket under “My Trips”. To do this, click on the plus symbol at the top right. Enter your order or subscription number. You can find this on your contract documents or on the order confirmation for the Germany ticket.
- Then enter your last name and press “Add”. Your ticket should now be loaded including the QR code, your data, the validity information and the order number.
- If your order cannot be found, contact the Deutsche Bahn subscription center or ask at the DB counter. If you bought your ticket through another provider, you can upload it via the respective transport association's app.
- If you booked the Germany ticket on bahn.de and were logged in with your account, you can automatically access your ticket in the DB app. The only requirement for this is that you use the same login data for bahn.de and in the app. You will then also find your ticket in the DB app under “My Tickets”.
Germany ticket is becoming more expensive: is that true?
We often simply call the Germany ticket the 49 euro ticket. The price is expected to change from January 2025.
- Instead of 49 euros, the ticket will cost 58 euros from January 1, 2025. This is reported by several news portals such as the Tagesschau and NDR.
- The decision is justified by the fact that transport companies have made losses and the price increase will secure the financing of the Deutschlandticket.
- All other conditions of the Deutschlandticket remain unchanged, including the monthly right of cancellation if it becomes too expensive for one or the other user.
