Magenta TV without receiver: These are the options

Magenta TV without receiver: These are the options

With Magenta TV, you have access to numerous private and public broadcasters even without a receiver. To use Telekom's streaming service without a receiver, you have two options. We'll explain both to you.

Watch Magenta TV without a receiver: via app

Magenta TV's streaming service is not only available to Telekom customers, but to all users. You do not need a contract with Telekom. If you do not have a receiver but would still like to receive the service, we recommend the Magenta TV app.

  • The Magenta TV app is available for Android and iOS and can be downloaded from the respective app store.
  • You can use the app regardless of your current internet provider and do not have to be a Telekom customer.
  • With the app, you can watch Magenta TV on your smartphone, tablet or on the TV screen if you mirror the content using Screen Mirroring.
  • You can record films and series and then watch them offline. This is useful if you are on the move a lot, because then you are not tied to the limit of your mobile data.
  • You can test the Magenta TV Flex tariff for free for one month. After that, it costs 10 euros per month and can be canceled at any time. This includes, for example, 50 channels in HD quality, the Telekom Megathek, streaming offers and other functions.

Use Magenta TV with the Magenta TV Stick

Another way to use Magenta TV without a receiver: you use the Magenta TV Stick. You pay a one-off fee of 49.99 euros for the streaming stick or you can rent it for 1.95 euros per month.

  • In addition to purchasing the Magenta TV Stick, you must also book a tariff option. Magenta TV Smart is recommended here. The tariff costs 10 euros per month for a 24-month term.
  • You will then have access to over 100 private and public broadcasters. Other films, series and documentaries from the Megathek are also available to you.
  • The offer can be used on up to 5 devices and you can stream on 3 devices at the same time.
  • You need a TV with an HDMI port. Use this to connect the stick to the TV.
  • The content is available in 4k Ultra HD if your TV supports the standard.
