Magenta TV doesn't work: check DSL

If your Magenta TV isn't working, your internet connection could be the cause of the problem. This can affect both the Magenta TV Box and the Magenta TV app.

  1. Take a look at your Speedport. If the DSL light flashes, your DSL connection has no connection to the Internet.
  2. Unplug your Speedport for ten seconds and then plug it back in.
  3. Sometimes the DSL connection resynchronizes. Therefore, wait about 15 minutes first.
  4. If you still don't have a signal, you can contact Telekom customer service.

Receiver or Magenta TV Box: Restarting can help

You should then check whether restarting the receiver can solve the problems.

  1. Switch the media receiver off using the remote control and then on again.
  2. If Magenta TV still doesn't work, for example if Live TV doesn't work, restart the media receiver. To do this, switch off the receiver using the remote control.
  3. Then reach behind the media receiver and flip the toggle switch. After a few seconds, press the toggle switch again. The media receiver will now restart. This process can take several minutes.
  4. On newer models like the Magenta TV Box, there is no toggle switch. Instead, unplug the power cord, wait a few seconds, and then plug it back in.
