- The AR mode only works if your smartphone has a gyroscope sensor. To check this quickly and easily, google your smartphone model with the addition “gyroscope”.
- Likewise, tablets are not optimized for Pokemon GO. If you play on a tablet, the feature may not be supported or the game may be displayed at an angle or with errors.
- For AR mode, the app needs access to your camera. It is possible that you have not granted the app this permission. You can change this in the app's settings.

- There is no technical solution for the missing gyroscope. If your smartphone does not have a gyroscope, you will have to switch to another device. However, you can still catch Pokemons without the AR mode.
