You might quickly get the impression that the blue background in “Pokémon Go” means that you have caught an unusual Pokémon. It stands out in the overview of all Pokémon. But what does it really mean?
- If you sort the Pokémon in your overview by the date they were found, it quickly becomes clear that these are not special Pokémon. If you look more closely, you will certainly notice that even common and not particularly strong Pokémon have this blue background.
- The blue color is an indication of when you caught the Pokémon. It tells you that the Pokémon was caught within the last 24 hours.
- This makes it easy to see which Pokémon has been added to the list. If you have already collected a large number of Pokémon, this makes things clearer – even if you have actually sorted your view by competition points (CP) or another criterion.
- When you scroll down, you can see the blue background of the Pokémon very clearly, which is why you can filter out the newest pocket monsters straight away.
- This method makes it easier to send Pokémon if you want a candy for it, or to evolve them if they are strong Pokémon. When sending Pokémon, it is worth keeping an eye on which Pokémon you should keep.
