In Windows, it can sometimes happen that printing a document does not start, but the print job cannot be deleted either.
Print job cannot be deleted: How to proceed
First, you need to stop the Print Spooler service.
- Use (Win) + (R) to open the dialog for running programs. You can also find “Run” via the Windows start menu.
- Type “services.msc” to view the PC's services.
- Right-click on the “Print Spooler” service and click “Stop”.
- Then delete the file to be printed from the temporary printer memory. To do this, open the path in Explorer: C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\PRINTERS and delete the files in the folder.

Finally, start the Print Spooler service.
- To do this, open the Windows services as described above by entering the command “services.msc” via “Run” in the start menu or the key combination (Win) + (R).
- After right-clicking on the “Print Spooler” service, click “Start”.
