With the “Republish” function on TikTok, it is possible to share third-party content with your own followers and contacts on the For You page.

Public videos on TikTok can be republished by other users.
- These then appear to the respective followers as well as people from your own contacts on the For You page.
- It is also possible to add your own comment to the video and share your opinion on the content.
- This means that particularly interesting, funny or informative videos can be shared with your own community.
- In addition, videos can generate more reach and be supported because the original video creator remains.
- The so-called repost is not displayed in your own profile. However, you can see which videos have been republished under the repost button with the two arrows, as well as the likes.
Instructions to repost a TikTok
How to repost a TikTok:
- Click the share arrow. This is located in the bottom right corner of each video.
- You will now see various sharing options and further information about the video.
- There is a yellow republish button in the top bar. Once you click on it, you have shared the video.
- You can then add a comment if necessary. The field is in the lower video area.
- Press the yellow button again to undo the repost.
