A release for Sims 5 may no longer be in the offing. Electronic Arts has opted for a different franchise model.
The Sims 5: But no longer released
Ten years ago Electronic Arts released the fourth part of the life simulation The Sims. In October 2022 there were the first glimpses of hope for a potential successor, which has already vanished into thin air.

- The Sims FreePlay and MySims are another feature of the Sims Universe. While Sims FreePlay is set to receive further updates, gamers can look forward to Nintendo Switch remakes of MySims and MySims Kingdom with the MySims: Cozy Bundle, which is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2024. New MySims games are to follow.
