Fans of the futuristic mech franchise have been hoping for a release for Titanfall 3 since the release of the second part in 2016.
Titanfall 3 – these details are known
Unfortunately, details about Titanfall 3 are not available. Especially since Respawn Entertainment, developer of the IP, currently does not seem to have any official plans for a third part of the first-person shooter.
- There are no immediate details about the third part of the Titanfall series, as the development studio continues to focus on Apex Legends, the Battle Royale that takes place in the same universe as Titanfall. The game continues to enjoy great popularity and receives regular content updates in the form of seasons.
- Nothing has been officially communicated about other games from the Titanfall universe and we are relying on second and third hand information. Journalist Jeff Grubb, for example, claims to have learned that Respawn Entertainment is working on a game set in the same universe.
- Further details, such as what genre it is, whether it will be a pure multiplayer game like Apex Legends or a mix of single and multiplayer like Titanfall, are not known. Since these are only rumors and not official information from the developer, you should take them with a grain of salt. (As of August 2024)
- Unfortunately, things aren't looking any better for the latest Titanfall project, Titanfall Legends. Development of the single-player game, which wasn't Titanfall 3 but was supposed to take place in the same setting, was terminated early in early 2023, along with the Apex Legends Mobile and Battlefield Mobile projects.
Sci-Fi shooters that make the wait for Titanfall 3 easier
Even though Titanfall 3 is still a long way off, other futuristic shooters are shortening the waiting time. There is something for both single-player and multiplayer fans to play.
- Concord is a Sony exclusive multiplayer shooter for the PS5 and PC. The design and setting are more reminiscent of Guardians of the Galaxy, but the game promises heated battles and a selection of different characters, each with a different playing style. In addition, new cutscenes will be implemented every week to continue the story.
- The online game Destiny 2, released in 2017, is regularly updated with new content and offers both single and multiplayer content. In the sci-fi FPS, you travel to different planets and face various challenges in the open world, alone or with friends, in order to constantly improve your equipment. In addition to pure co-op content, there are also PvP modes in which you fight against others.
- The games in the Wolfenstein series, The New Order, The Old Blood, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and Youngblood, are set in a futuristic alternate reality where Germany won World War II and went on to conquer the world. As a rebel, you must thwart the Nazis' plans and face all manner of human and mechanical monstrosities.
