You can track a registered letter online on the Deutsche Post website. You will need the tracking number for this.
How to track your registered mail online
To track the registered mail, you need the tracking number.
- You will find this number several times on the registered mail stamp, for example above the barcode. The shipment number is indicated as such on the delivery receipt. If you sent the registered mail with an internet stamp, you will find the shipment number next to the QR code.
- In your browser, go to the Deutsche Post website for shipment tracking.
- Here you enter the tracking number of the registered letter in the corresponding text field and, if necessary, the date of dispatch.
- Click on “Find my shipment” to find out the shipment status.
- Good to know: Tracking registered mail does not work immediately after the shipment has been sent. It often takes a few hours until you can track the registered mail you want online with DHL.
