It is possible to use two Bluetooth headphones at the same time. This means that two people can listen to music without having to share headphones.
Use two Bluetooth headphones simultaneously on a Samsung smartphone
If you want to listen to music from your smartphone with a friend, you don't necessarily have to use a pair of headphones. You can also listen to your favorite bands together with two different Bluetooth headphones.
- Samsung smartphones have the option Dual Audio. If your phone has this feature, you can find it in the settings. Dual Audio allows you to pair two Bluetooth headphones with one smartphone and hear the same thing on both.
- You must first pair both Bluetooth headphones with your smartphone via “Settings”, then “Connections” and “Bluetooth”.
- You can then set the audio output via “Media”. Swipe down once to get to this point. Here you can now activate both headphones.
Using two Bluetooth headphones without dual audio
But even if your Android smartphone does not have the dual audio function, you can still listen to music with two Bluetooth headphones at the same time. To do this, you need a Bluetooth splitter. You can use this not only on your smartphone, but also on other devices such as a television or console.
- You must first connect the Bluetooth splitter to your playback device (smartphone, TV, console) using the cable.
- Then connect the first of the two Bluetooth headphones to the Bluetooth splitter.
- You can then connect the other headphones to the splitter. Then you can listen to the same thing on both headphones.
- When using a Bluetooth splitter, make sure that your playback device has a suitable connection for the splitter.
Using two Bluetooth headphones on Apple devices
If you own an Apple device, you can use the Audio Sharing to connect multiple Bluetooth headphones to the output device. Please note that audio sharing only works with AirPods and Beats headphones.
- First, connect the first Bluetooth headphones to your Apple device.
- Then go to the control center of the iPhone or iPad and click on the AirPlay icon. Then tap “Share Audio”.
- If the second pair is AirPods or AirPods Pro, hold them to the output device in the open charging case. You also have to hold AirPods Max to the output device.
- When the second Bluetooth headphones appear, click “Share Audio”.
- If you want to connect Beats as a second pair of Bluetooth headphones, put them in pairing mode and hold them near your Apple device. When the headphones appear, click “Share Audio.”
- Then you can listen to music on your Apple device with two Bluetooth headphones at the same time.
