Adjust the folder images in Windows via folder options

To change a folder image, you must first open the respective folder using Windows Explorer.

  • Then right-click the folder and select “Properties”. This will take you to the respective folder options.
  • A new window will open in which you click on the “Customize” button.
  • Here you can now press the “Select file…” button in the “Folder images” area to create your desired photo as a folder image.
  • Confirm your new settings by clicking “Apply” and “OK” so that you can view your new folder image.
  • Instead of an image, you can also choose one of the symbols provided by Windows. To do this, select “Other icon” in the “Folder icons” area in the bottom third of the window. Here you can choose between many different icons in a list.
