Delete formatting in Word – here's how

Formatting in Microsoft Word can quickly become a mess if you copy text blocks from other sources into your document. To create order, it makes sense to delete all the formatting. Here's how to do it:

  1. First, select the entire text (shortcut: Ctrl+A).
  2. Now remove the formatting by going to the Home tab in the Font group and clicking Clear All Formatting.
  3. It is even easier with a keyboard shortcut: Press (Ctrl)+(Shift)+(N) to reset the formatting to default.
