Buy a DB 49-Euro ticket: All options at a glance

There are various ways to buy the DB Deutschlandticket (the former 49-euro ticket will become a 58-euro ticket from 2025).

Buy a DB 49-Euro-Ticket (58-Euro-Ticket) – these are the options

From January 2025, the Deutschlandticket will be more expensive: the 49-euro ticket will become the 58-euro ticket. You can buy this (almost) exclusively online.

  • If you would like to purchase the 58-euro ticket online, you can do so on the Deutsche Bahn website. You can also take out a subscription in the DB Navigator app.
  • Many other transport companies, such as the BVG, also offer the DB 58-euro ticket for sale through their sales channels.
  • And there are numerous apps such as the “Deutschland-Ticket-App” or “Dein Deutschlandticket” that you can install on your smartphone and use to book and manage your subscription.
  • Since the Germany Ticket is only available in digital form, you cannot get it from a ticket machine. However, you can buy the ticket at the counter in DB travel centers. However, Deutsche Bahn writes: “Due to different sales contracts, it may be possible that an immediate sale in the DB travel center is not possible.”
  • If you do not have a smartphone or an internet-enabled computer, ask at the counter of your regional transport association whether you can purchase the Deutschlandticket as a chip card.
