However, if you want to clean your carpet more thoroughly to remove animal hair and mites, you should use a steam cleaner. Carpet cleaning is even more effective with a wet vacuum cleaner. You can also use this to thoroughly clean your upholstery.
- Always check the steam intensity of the hot steam when using any device of this type.
- Move slowly from one side of the carpet to the other. For a deep clean, alternate between pulling the strips lengthways and crossways across the carpet.
- Overall, however, you should work quickly with the devices. Now that you see a stain, you can stay over the spot a little longer.
